The location of the 7th Annual KABB Meeting was at the Shelbyville Conference Center in Shelbyville, KY. This meeting featured keynote speaker Dr. George Hauser, MD as well as additional rapid fire topics from multiple local speakers.
Our 2024 meeting saw a changing of the guard. As former KABB president Dr. Dennis Williams stepped down and new president Amanda Clark took the helm.
The keynote speaker for the year was Dr. George Hauser, MD. Dr. Hauser is the founder of the Alloantibody Exchange, an associate Professor of Laboratory Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. They did an interesting presentation on the Alloantibody Exchange. Explaining the basics of how the system worked and how it could help hospitals and blood centers better coordinate to meet patient needs.
Along with our keynote speaker there were several other informative presentations that can be viewed and downloaded by site members.
We couldn't have had such a wonderful meeting without our amazing sponsors. Many of which come and exhibit at the event.
